A new movement "Cauveryikkaaga Tamilagathin Kural" (The Voice of Tamil Nadu for Cauvery) has begun under the leadership of Nallakannu for which P.R. Pandian the Coordination Committee of All Tamilnadu Farmers has given his support. The Makkal Neethi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan has assured them that he will serve as a tool in bringing awareness for the issue and has kept his word by meeting DMK leader. Stalin and has also invited Vijayakanth, Tamilisai Soundarajan, TTV Dinakaran and others to participate.

Kamal said that he will also ask Rajinikanth to join the conference which will be held on the 19th of May in Chennai.
