"If only 'Yuva' would have been released a year later i.e. in the current season, things would have looked different" - this would have been Mani Ratnam's thought while observing the entire nation celebrating the arrival of Abhishek Bachchan (finally) in Bollywood.

Undoubtedly, Abhishek in his role of 'Lallan' was the best part of 'Yuva' but the movie unfortunately crashed after a decent opening. But one is sure that if 'Yuva' would have come now with 'Chote Sarkar' doing wonders at the box office, its superb run would have been a foregone conclusion.

The movie was just about a year ahead of its times and with 2005 being extraordinarily kind to varied themes, even 'Yuva' would have been lapped up with open arms!!
