"Rishety koyi guarantee card ke saath thode hi aate hain!" - Irrfan Khan

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,November 23 2006]

Post 'Deadline' if you thought that Irrfan Khan may have been lying low then that's far from true. Apart from shooting for his film with Angelina Jones, he is also getting geared up for the release of two of his films 'The Namesake and 'Metro' out of which the latter arrives first.

In Anurag Basu's METRO, he mouths a dialogue that depicts the reality of life. In his characteristic style, he makes a simple statement - "Rishety koyi guarantee card ke saath thode hi aate hain!" Enacting the role of a simple man called Debu who works in a radio station, Irrfan plays a character who meets a woman [Konkana Sen Sharma] through a matrimonial website, meets for a date, separates, meets again and then separates again [whew] to leave the stage open for a suspense over whether the two would ever meet.

With the kind of situations he goes through in his life, it is only apt for him to utter a dialogue like this!
