The evergreen hero of Kollywood, R. Madhavan is one of the few stars who tasted huge success with his comeback Irudhi Suttru` and is currently looking forward to the release of Vikram Veda` directed by Pushkar Gayathri in which he is pitted against the formidable Vijay Sethupathi.

Maddy is known to consider Kamal Haasan as his mentor and has appeared alongside him in Nala Damayanthi`, Anbe Sivam`, Paarthale Paravasam` and Manmadhan Ambu`. Many times he has asserted that he will work with the Ulaganayagan any time he calls him. However in a recent interview a scribe posed the question whether Maddy would take part in the television reality show Bigg Boss hosted by Kamal in Tamil to which his prompt reply was the show is not his cup of tea and he is not interested in participating.
