Top cinematographer and VIP director R. Velraj's father passes away

Ace cinematographer R Velraj's father S. Rajamani passed away at 1.45 pm today at his residence in Koothiyarkundai village in Madurai district. He was 99 and had age-related issues. The last rites will be held tomorrow and Velraj and his family who live in Chennai have rushed to their native place.
Velraj has shared that his father was very proud of his achievements as the top cinematographer in Tamil cinema with his recent hit being the internationally acclaimed 'Asuran' directed by Vetrimaaran and starring Dhanush and Manju Warrier. He has also directed two films 'Velayilla Pattadari'and 'Thangamagan' both starring Dhanush.
