Radharavi's reply to Vishal's criticism over Sivaji Memorial

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,September 01 2015]

Within hours after the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha announced that her Government would build a memorial for Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan, actor Vishal and the rebel group of actors lead by him, met the press to thank the CM's initiative to honour the legendary actor.

In the press meet the actors criticised the South Indian Film Artists Associaion (Nadigar Sangam) for not taking steps for building the memorial even after the Government allocated land in the year 2001 itself. Vishal said that he felt ashamed as an actor as the Nadigar Sangam could not build the memorial for the Nadigar Thilagam on its own and that the Government had to do that.

Replying to press persons' questions about this in a recent event, the present General Secretary of the Sangam and the outspoken actor Radharavi said that though the AIADMK government had allotted land and money for the memorial in its previous tenure the sangam was waiting for the government's permission to build the memorial and the subsequent DMK government also did not act upon the issue. This is why the memorial for Sivaji Ganesan could not be built till now.
