Raghu Kunche lashes out at film critics for panning 47 Days

Raghu Kunche is upset with film critics, almost all of whom have panned '47 Days'. The direct OTT release has been co-produced by the music director. And he is sorry that "baala medhavulu" (a sarcastic reference he has made to mock reviewers) have not understood the film's content.

Taking to Twitter, Raghu Kunche has written a series of tweets expressing his dismay. "Had it been a theatrical release, our film would have called it quits by now. Because it's an OTT release, many have watched it despite the negative reviews. The report card is satisfactory in terms of the number of viewers who have watched it on Zee5," the music director said.

He suggested that a film is made with hard-earned monies by producers. "They (critics) would know the pain only if they were in my place," Kunche said.

"At a time when the film industry is in the rut, these people are worried only about their readership and views," Kunche wrote in another tweet.

The gist of his criticism is that reviewers are not sympathetic towards the film industry at a time when 70 percent of them have become jobless because of the pandemic. He also highlighted that '47 Days', starring Sathyadev Kancharana as the hero, has done well despite the unfavourable reviews.
