Continuing his spate of queries to the BJP, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi posed a question to the BJP asking it to explain why youths in Gujarat continue to be deprived of education by the State and Central Governments.

The first phase of the 2-phase Assembly polls in Gujarat is to be held over the weekend (09th December) with the second phase of polling slated to be held next Thursday (14th December).  Senior BJP leaders and Union Cabinet Ministers including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been indulged in non-stop election campaign in the State to help the BJP in the State to retain power for one more term.

Taking to his Twitter account under the caption “Gujarat needs an answer from the BJP for ruling the State for 22 years without showing much progress”, Rahul said “Grants for education have always been very less in Gujarat which ranks 26th in the country among States allotting finance educational development.  What sin did the youths in Gujarat commit that they are deprived of education by the BJP for long?”

“Commercialization of education hasn’t helped things and has only burdened parents of students in paying up the fees of their wards.  If this trend continues, how shall a ‘New India’ be born?” Rahul asked on his Twitter account.
