For the Kannada Rajyotsava festival month various programs have been chalked out but among all this place for reading newspapers titled as ‘Raj Kasthuri Katte’ at Kengeri is striking.

This idea was evolved by Kengeri satellite town Kasthuri Kannada Yuvakara Trust. On the way to ‘Tavaerekere’ there is one special location. Six Kannada newspapers are kept here for reading and it is discussion point to.

As Dr Rajakumar fans have come up with the idea there is information about all films of Rajakumar, photos of seven Gnanapith award winners, the kings of Karnataka past, emergency telephone numbers are displayed on the walls.

Although the ‘Katte’ was evolved in 2009 says Kasthuri Kannada Yuvakara Trust President Shivakumara Gowda and the association was formed in 1993, there is three days festival of Rajyotsava and Annamma Devi procession. The mass feeding is taken up on all the three days.

Besides such celebration useful to the society was trust intention. The help to needy students, one of the kidney ailments of a student was supported by Rs.50000, admission of children to government schools, eye camp etc are other social works of this Kasthuri Kannada Yuvakara Trust.

After evolution in 1993 in the events of Kasthuri Kannada Yuvakara Trust veterans like GV Iyes, Dr KS Ashwath, Dr PB Srinivos, LR Ishwari, Kichcha Sudeep and others have taken part in the cultural events.

NT Srinivas, Major Shivakumar, Siddaveerappa, Panju, Muniraju, Harish, Ganapathi Achar, Deepak, Raghavendra and others are in the Trust for activities.
