At an event of 'Laatti' held in Hyderabad on Sunday, 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' writer Vijayendra Prasad was present as the chief guest. On the occasion, the first song, teaser, and video glimpse were released.

Speaking on the occasion, actor Vishal thanked the star writer for gracing the occasion, adding that he had always wanted to meet him. About 'Laatti', he said that the producers (Ramana and Nandaa) are his friends. "You are going to see the talent of director Vinoth Kumar on the silver screen when our film hits the screens on December 22. As for Yuvan Shankar Raja, our combination has always been a hit," Vishal said. Dedicating 'Laatti' to constables, Vishal also added that every rupee made on the sale of each ticket will be donated to farmers' welfare.

When it was his turn, Vijayendra Prasad joked that Vishal seems to have been smitten by a 'disease' that afflicts Rajamouli. "They both have this itch to go to any extent in terms of budget and time spent if they like the script. I hope Vishal becomes as successful as my son. I got some positive vibes when I went to a 'Kartikeya 2' event. As expected, it became a blockbuster. I am getting similar vibes this time as well," Prasad added.

Director Vinoth described his movie as an action-adventure survival thriller that is about the adventurous spirit of an ordinary constable. He praised his cinematographer and action director Peter Hein.

Producer Ramana thanked Vishal for giving him the opportunity to produce the movie. It was he who first came across the film's story and sent it to Vishal for a narration. The actor liked it and that's how the project took birth in the year 2020.

Siva Balaji, lyricist Chandrabose, heroine Sunaina and others were also present.
