Rajamouli conferred with New York Film Critics Circle award

SS Rajamouli was on Wednesday felicitated with the New York Film Critics Circle 88th Annual Award 2022 for Best Director for the movie 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram'. Although the award was announced last month, the conferring happened yesterday.
The 'Baahubali' director attended the event in traditional Indian clothing. Speaking on the occasion, the 'Eega' maker said that cinema is a temple for him. He added that the Jr NTR-Ram Charan movie has been received by the West the same way it was received in India when it was released ten months ago.
I saw the same kind of reception in the West. They were reacting the same way that Indians did, Rajamouli has been quoted as saying.
Written by Vijayendra Prasad, the film has music by MM Keeravani.
As for the Oscars, it has been submitted in 14 different categories. 'RRR' also won two nominations at the Golden Globes 2023.
