Actor Rajasekhar's father, Varadharajan Gopal, died on Thursday at Hyderabad's City Neuro Centre. He was 94.

In a statement today, Jeevitha Rajasekhar said, "I inform with sadness that my father-in-law, G Varadharajan, retired Deputy Commissioner of Police, passed away at 6:30 PM on Thursday at the age of 94. His mortal remains were flown to Chennai. People wishing to pay their respects can do so after 4 PM on Friday at his residence in Anna Nagar, Chennai."

The funeral will take place on Sunday.

In 2017, Rajasekhar's mother Andal Varadharajan died a few weeks before the release of 'PSV Garuda Vega'. At that time, the actor got emotional at the pre-release event of the action thriller.
