Rajasthan Royals star player blessed with a baby; First video of newborn shared

West Indies and Rajasthan Royals star player Shimron Hetmyer and his wife Nirvani welcomed their first child on Tuesday (May 10). The IPL franchise also shared an adorable video of Hetmyer holding the newborn in his arms.
Following RR’s match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, Hetmyer had left the IPL bio-bubble to fly back to Guyana to witness the birth of his child. “Shimron Hetmyer has travelled back to Guyana early morning today for the imminent birth of his first child. We are helping him in every way we can, and our best wishes are with him and his wife Nirvani,” RR had mentioned in a statement.
Hetmyer, however, won’t be away for a long time, as he has promised his RR fans that he would soon join the team in Mumbai. “We look forward to Shimron then returning to Mumbai, and resuming duties at the Royals for the remainder of our matches in IPL 2022,” RR added in the statement.
