Youth forced to drink urine as punishment for love

In a shocking incident, a Rajasthan youth was brutally beaten up and forced to drink urine by a group of villagers as a punishment for falling in love with a girl of the same community. The videos of the incident, that have been traced to Sardarpura village of Paladi Thana area of Sirohi district, have gone viral on social media.
The incident happened a couple of days ago when the panchayat came to know that the youth was in love with a girl. To teach a lesson to the other youngsters in the community, the panchayat leaders beaten up the boy and as a punishment, they made him drink urine and water from a shoe. The community panchayat leaders got the incident filmed and even posted it in various social media groups.
Soon, the police swung into action. Poora Ram Dahiya, sub-inspector, Paladee police station in Sirohi, said, A team from Paladee and Sumerpur police stations are searching for the accused. While FIR has been lodged, there were 13-15 people who were part of the group engaged in torturing the youth. We are searching for them as well.
The boy and his family members are said to have left the village and their house is locked up.
