One of India's popular and powerful media house India Today identifies India's 50 Most Powerful People and publishes the list in their magazine every year since 2003.

This year's list of 50 Most Powerful Indians has been released recently. The list includes our Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in 34th and 45th ranks respectively.

Other prominent film industry celebrities included in the list are Amitabh Bacchan (15th rank), Priyanka Chopra (38th), Shah Rukh Khan (40th), Akshay Kumar (44th) and Ameer Khan (47th) and Deepika Padukone (50th).

Controversial politician Subramanian Swamy has been ranked at 20 while noted economist and columnist S.Gurumurthi of Tamil Nadu has been ranked at 30th place in the list of most Powerful people of India,

Relaince Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani is the most powerful Indian according to India Today as he has been ranked at number 1.
