The shooting of young Kollywood director Karthik Subbaraj's next with Superstar Rajinikanth won't be delayed at all. Sun Pictures is all set to take the film on the floors sooner than later.

The untitled flick will hit the screens in early 2019. Possibly, this is to make it easy for Rajinikanth's political tours, although his party may or may not necessarily contest the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

The film won't be "overtly political", as a source from Chennai puts it.

The project will take its sweet time to get a buzz in the Telugu States. It's because Karthik Subbaraj is no Shankar. But it surely will, like all Rajini films eventually do.

The teaser of 'Kaala' will release on March 1.
