'Kaala' sets a new First Day record

Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' has released worldwide amid huge expectations. After many years, a Rajinikant film has released on a Thursday instead of Friday. But this has only proved to be a wise decision as fans are going to throng the theaters on any working day to watch the 'Thalaivar' film. The film directed by Pa.Ranjith is running to packed houses every where and reviews are also extremely positive.
As expected the film has created a new box office record on its first day itself. 'Kaala' has collected over 1.76 crores on its release day in Chennai which is more than any film including last year's mega blockbuster 'Baahubali 2'. Rs.1,76.06,983 to be precise. This is the highest first day collections in Chennai Box Office.
