Veteran stage and screen actor Y.Gee. Mahendran's daughter Madhuvanti Arun is also a multifaceted personality who promotes education, choreographs traditional dances and has also acted on stage and screen. A news started spreading on social media that Madhu was arrested in the USA and sent back to India.
Madhuvanti has clarified to the media that she went to the USA and at the Chicago Airport it was found that her VISA was faulty and hence the authorities asked her to return to India and come back with the corrected documents. She has cleared the air that there was no arrest made and that her new documents have been applied in Chennai and once it is ready will return to the States soon.
