Superstar Rajinikanth, who recently underwent surgery to restore blood supply to the brain, was discharged from the hospital on Sunday night. He took to his daughter's new app 'Hoote' to confirm the same.
The 70-year-old actor was admitted to the Kauvery Hospital on Thursday. Though his family maintained that it was a routine checkup done every year, the medical bulletin released by the hospital stated that he was brought to the hospital after feeling giddiness and had undergone a Carotid artery revascularization process. Earlier, in December 2020, the star had been admitted to the Apollo hospital, Hyderabad, due to fluctuating blood pressure and exhaustion.
He also thanked his fans via his daughter's new application. "Treatment is over, I'm doing well. I've returned home tonight. I thank everyone who prayed for my health and everyone who enquired about my health. Thank you", he said.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Rajinikanth updated his fans about the news by sharing a picture of himself praying in front of his home temple. Sharing the picture he wrote, "Returned home," the video of his returning home while his wife welcomes him with a Harthi si current going viral on the internet.
