Photos and videos of Rajinikanth and his wife Latha leaving for the United States from Chennai airport went viral on social media a few days ago. The couple got special permission from the government to visit the US for medical reasons. Reports also stated that Dhanush also joined his family in the US after shooting for his upcoming film 'The Grey Man'.

In a recent pic that surfaced the internet Rajinikanth is seen outside the famous Mayo Clinic in the United States. He is seen walking out of the clinic with his daughter Aishwarya by his side.

According to sources, Rajinikanth has gone to US for a general health check-up. In the coming weeks, he will be subjected to a series of tests before returning to India on July 8.

Rajinikanth has completed a major portion of Siruthai Siva's Annaatthe. Once he returns from the United States, he will resume the film's final schedule. The other cast also includes Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Vela Ramamoorthy. Produced by Sun Pictures, this film is expected to be released in theatres on November 4.
