With number of Kannada films falling like pack of cards in the box office this week release `Rambo' is a whiff of fresh air. `Rambo' is like a `Rainbow' and it could be a decent winner in the box office.

Actor Sharan has not changed his route as hero in 100th film `Rambo'. He knows what the audience expects from him. He has worked with a tremendous team effort for his first home banner film with joint producer Atlanta Nagendra who made `Joke Falls'.

In the department of screenplay, giving shock and surprises at regular interval, good dialogues, and performance from lead actors, two lovely tunes from Arjun Janya plus impeccable camera work from S Krishna sets a good standard for `Rambo'.

`Rambo' is a Paisa Vasool cinema but a few interruptions in the morning show at Triveni theatre (one of the best theatres in Gandhinagar Bangalore) were not expected. Just ten minutes of the film start, after six reel of the film the theatre tested patience.

`Rambo' is referred to a pig in this film. As told in the advertisements it is not a technical 3D film - the protagonist is Dagakor (cheat), Dagalbaji (Mischievous) and Dov (Prankster) Raaja - 3D of the protagonist.

Kitty is having a rare business to run his life. His mother (Umasri) knows that her son is not in right way. He has come to wrong path with Premkumar - maternal uncle (Tabla Naani).

Kitty uses the pig to fulfill his necessities. He has a trained a pig that dash against the cars. Kitty suddenly develops a drama and convinces the owner with the superstitious belief in the society. A pig should not hit any vehicle - it is a bad omen.

In one of his big operations Kitty is unknowingly is fooled. A thief on the road hand over the car to Kitty after Pig hit. The thief also takes Rs.2 lakhs. When Kitty goes for resale he is in a shock in the first because a body is lying in the car. In the second half he is surprised and jumping in joy because Rs. 25 crore is also in the huge car.

The body is the look out of a terrorist gang and the money is the look out of a former minister Annappa (Rangayana Raghu). Kitty and Premkumar followed by the trouble shooters. Kitty studies why terrorist gang is behind a body. He finds a pen drive hidden in the body of Mercy. The contents are very shocking.

Kitty knowing the danger ahead surrenders the pen drive and the money to the government to get a good name. He gets a police job and Premkumar is given the driver job in the police department for alert work.

It is very absorbing performance from Sharan. A well known comedy actor here and there changing his track to emotion and romance has not faltered in his job. With Sharan - Table Naani comedy timing is boost to this film. In the second half Sadhu Kokila and Rangaya Raghu have done their hilarious track very well!

For Madhuri this is a good change. She looks glamorous but she is rotund. Umasri national award winning actress is superb and Shruthi as DC is graceful.

Arjun Janya has given two foot tapping tunes - Manetanaka bare Manetanake Hodithini Dov Konetanaka..Jaya Jaya Jocket Jayan Ganda Rocket..and the sorrow song in the background Kanna Muchche Kaade Goode..is well written - Vidhiya Nataka Nanna Badhuka Soothaka (the destiny play makes my life moronic) deserves kudos.

`Rambo' is a family package in two senses - The family of Sharan, father Krishna, sister Shruthi are part of the cast, his mother sounded the clap board.

It is no doubt a good family entertainer package from Sharan and Atlanta Nagendra.

Score - 7.5/10
