Rana to return this month-end

It’s been more than 45 days since Venu Udugula’s Virata Parvam, fronted by Rana and Sai Pallavi, has gone to floors. The director has already shot portions involving Sai Pallavi but with Rana’s absence, he had to hold the shoot for time being. Although murmurs about the actor heading back to Hyderabad from US have been doing the rounds for the past two weeks, the actor is yet to touch down the city. His father Suresh Babu, however, has returned back and is busy monitoring the various production activities of Suresh Productions films.
We now hear that the Baahubali actor has assured Venu he will join the sets later this month-end and has also asked the director to prepare schedule chart. But before joining the sets, the actor, who has lost of oodles of weight for reasons unknown, will hit the gym and get back into shape.
Set in ‘90s backdrop, Virata Parvam sheds light on the Maoist movement, specifically the moral dilemma that prevailed during that time. The likes of Sai Chand, Nandita Das, Easwari Rao and Zarina Wahab are playing supporting roles.
