Rana's film is inspired by real events

For all the humongous popularity he gained through a fantasy magnum opus ('Baahubali'), Rana Daggubati is ostensibly in love with subjects that are inspired by real incidents.
'Haathi Mere Saathi', his next trilingual (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil), is admittedly inspired by two events. So, the makers are looking forward to holding a series of workshops to sensitize the entire team through educative and insightful sessions.
Directed by Prabhu Solomon, this adventure flick casts the Bhallaladeva in the role of a person who works with elephants. The story is about elephant conservation told in a pucca filmi style.
Rana will whizz off to Thailand, where he will spend three weeks with elephants! That's the kind of unique homework he wants to do. By giving up proteins and weight training, the actor recently shed 15 kgs for this role.
There were reports that Varun Tej will be seen in a key role in this flick, but there is no official word on this as yet.
In Telugu, it is most likely to be called 'Adavi Ramudu' as a title has been registered by Suresh Productions by Suresh Productions. To be jointly produced by Eros International and Trinity Pictures, the film will boast of a lot of action sequences. It will be shot in Thailand, Kerala and Delhi. It's set to be a grand Diwali release.
