Director Requests Reduction in Ticket Pricing for GUTS Movie

The film ‘Guts’ was produced, directed, and acted in by debut filmmaker Ranganraj. The movie also stars Shruti Narayanan, Sri Lekha, Delhi Ganesh, and Sai Dheena, along with several others. Manoj handled the cinematography, while the music was composed by Jos Franklyn. The film was produced under the banner of OPRB Productions by Jayabharathi Ranganraj. The audio and trailer launch event for ‘Cuts’ was held recently in Chennai.

During the event, Ranganraj shared his journey, stating, “I have struggled for 25 years hoping to become an actor. At one point, I felt mentally exhausted and thought of quitting. It was then that some of my friends suggested short film projects that could be done on a minimal budget. This gave me hope. Later, I started producing on my own. I don’t come from a film background—I’m the son of a mother who sells idlis in a tiny village. Becoming an actor today feels unbelievable to me. Many friends supported me in making this film. With reduced ticket prices in theaters, small-budget films like ours can also succeed.”

The film ‘Cuts’ is a fine example of perseverance and passion meeting opportunity, highlighting that dedication can take someone from a humble background to the silver screen.
