Rashmika Mandanna Pushes Limits for ‘Mysaa’ with Hardcore Action Training

Rashmika Mandanna is going all out for her upcoming pan-India action drama Mysaa, stepping far beyond her comfort zone in what is shaping up to be a career-defining film. Directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, the project is gaining momentum not just for its scale, but for the sheer intensity of preparation involved.

Rashmika plays a tribal Gond girl in the film a role that blends emotional grit with raw physical action. To do justice to the character, she has committed to a demanding transformation, training extensively under international stunt expert Andy Long.

Currently in Bangkok, the actress is undergoing a strict and physically taxing routine, clocking nearly eight hours a day in stunt rehearsals and combat training. From hand-to-hand fighting techniques to complex action choreography, her preparation is designed to bring authenticity and impact to every frame.

What stands out is the visible shift in her screen persona. Known for her charm and softer roles, Rashmika is now embracing a much tougher, action-driven image something audiences haven’t seen from her before.

The film’s next major step is a 16-day action-packed schedule in Kerala, for which this training phase is crucial. The makers are aiming to mount Mysaa as a high-intensity action drama that puts a female lead at the center of the spectacle.

The supporting cast includes Eshwari Rao, Guru Somasundaram, and Rao Ramesh.

On the technical side, cinematography is handled by Shreyaas P Krishna, while music is composed by Jakes Bejoy.

With this level of commitment and preparation, Mysaa is positioned as more than just another release—it’s a bold reinvention for Rashmika Mandanna, and a film that could redefine her image on screen.
