RBI bans Rs 2000 notes

RBI made a big announcement this evening. Reportedly, the newly launched Rs 2000 will be banned from  this evening onwards.

As per the official announcement , the old Rs 2000 notes should be deposited in nearby banks by the citizens.Though the news is circulating since long time that RBI is planning to ban Rs 2000, an official announcement came out this evening

It is well-known that Rs 2000 notes are launched in the market by Reserve Bank of India in  2016 during the demonization decision taken by PM Modi.
