Vijay's next 'Varisu' has been completed and is in non stop postproduction mode as it is slated for release on Pongal 2023. The film directed by Vamshi Paidipally is produced by Dil Raju while Rashmika Mandanna is pairing up with Vijay for the first time.

Meanwhile it has been reported that the puja of Vijay's next film 'Thalapathy 67' was held at the Ganesha temple at the AVM Studios in Chennai today. Sources say that Vijay, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, music composer Anirudh Ravichander and producer Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studios were the only prominent celebrities present. Unconfirmed sources also say that Trisha who is playing the leading lady also attended.

Though the puja happened at 11 am there have been no stills from the event either official or leaked. Those in the know say that cellphones were strictly prohibited as the team wants to announce 'Thalapathy 67 with a bang. A promo shoot like the one we saw for 'Vikram' announcement is also planned in the next few days and in all probability the video will storm the internet for New Year 2023.

The major debate that is going on social media platforms is whether 'Thalapathy 67' will be a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) which means Kamal, Karthi and Suriya will appear as Vikram, Dilli and Rolex respectively. There is also talk that it will be a standalone film that will create its own universe in the future. We will have that an all the other confirmations regarding the same in the coming days.
