Recognition for Ajith’s Racing Passion: Mahindra Presents World’s First ‘Formula E’ Themed SUV!

Mahindra Group has extended a special honor to Tamil cinema’s superstar and international racing driver, Ajith Kumar. To appreciate his relentless passion for motorsports, the group gifted him the world’s first Formula E themed SUV (Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition), valued at approximately ₹30 lakhs.

Recently, Ajith Kumar has been actively participating in international car races through his team, ‘Ajith Kumar Racing.’ This pleasant surprise awaited him upon his return to Chennai after competing in recent races held in Dubai.

Mr. R. Velusamy, President of the Automotive Technology and Product Development at Mahindra & Mahindra, personally met Ajith Kumar to hand over the keys to this cutting-edge vehicle.

This car is no ordinary vehicle; it represents the culmination of Mahindra’s 12 years of experience competing in Formula E (electric car racing), distilled into a road-legal machine.

Design: Features exclusive graphics and colors (Tango Red) used in Formula E racing cars.

Performance: Equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack, it offers a range of approximately 683 km on a single charge (as per ARAI certification).

Interior: Boasts sporty racing seats and a racing-style ‘start/stop’ switch.

Exclusivity: This is a special edition within the ‘BE 6’ series.

Notably, when Ajith Kumar previously drove Mahindra’s Formula E car during a test run in Spain, Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, praised him as a “superb blend of speed and style.”

As Ajith Kumar begins focusing on his next film, ‘AK 64’ (directed by Adhik Ravichandran), this recognition has sparked immense excitement among his fans.

While Ajith Kumar’s car collection already includes high-end vehicles like the McLaren Senna and Ferrari, this electric car presented by an Indian company in honor of his racing spirit is considered a significant milestone.
