Reel treat for fans on Salman Khan's birthday

Writer turned Filmmaker Muazzam Beg whose latest venture ‘Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai’ dedicated to the so called “Bad Boys” of Hindi Cinema (Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan) has grandiose plans for Superstar Salman Khan’s birthday which falls on December 27th.

The powerful romantic drama, ‘Rockstar’ writer Muazzam (2011) had earlier announced his latest venture, ‘Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai’ on Superstar Sanjay Dutt’s birthday and therefore wanted to ensure that Salman’s birthday is also made equally memorable. To this effect, the director and his star cast have arranged for a grand event on that date. This includes inviting all the die-hard fans of Salman Khan to Gaiety Galaxy Cinema in Bandra West for a grand cake cutting ceremony to celebrate Salman Khan’s birthday.

Confirmed Muazzam, We went to celebrate the day with the actor’s die- hard fans and also take the opportunity to unveil the first look of your film. On this occasion, he also plans to launch the first poster of his film, ‘Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai’. The Director further plans to share with the media the Birthday Wishes Message Card for Salman Khan which has been written and sent by his die-hard fans all the way from Jaipur. Apparently during the shooting of the movie in Ajmer, some devoted fans of Salman Khan requested the Director to pass on their birthday wishes to their favourite star on his birthday. Acceding to their request, Director Beg hopes to pass on the Birthday Card of these Ajmer fans to Salman Khan at his home on his birthday. When we started shooting in Ajmer, people on sets would ask me if we would also celebrate Salman’s birthday. I said yes and here we are, all geared up for it on the eve of December 27, added Beg.

Produced by Hindustan light and Sound Movie Services and written and directed by Muazzam Beg, ‘Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai’ is an attempt to portray the humane side of these two actors and will find resonance with many die-hard fans of Bollywood Stars. The film stars debutant actors Shresth Kumar, Zuber Kamal Khan and Anjali Arora in key roles and is slated to release in 2014.
