Telangana Congress chief, Revanth Reddy, expressed heartfelt gratitude on Sunday, attributing the party's triumph in the assembly election to the 'Telangana martyrs.' During a briefing in Hyderabad, Reddy affirmed the mandate as an endorsement of the martyrs' ideals and pledged to fulfill all promises made.

In acknowledging the support from the high command, Reddy conveyed his thanks on behalf of the Telangana Congress party. He emphasized the discernment of the people of Telangana, stating, "People of Telangana know how and when to respond." Notably, he mentioned that outgoing Telangana minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) had extended congratulations, urging the opposition and other victorious parties to collaborate in the government formation process.

He showered praises on Congress High Command, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and thanked the people of Telangana for giving a chance to the party who have given them Telangana. He said the party will ensure that all the promises it made during the elections will fulfil during its term.

Reddy highlighted KTR's welcoming stance towards a Congress-led government and called for a continuation of this cooperative spirit during their governance. Addressing the former ruling party, BRS, he acknowledged their decade-long tenure in power and recognized the shift to the opposition, valuing their perspective.

Expressing a pragmatic outlook on the election results, Reddy stated, "Not saddened over the result today, but surely disappointed as it was not in expected lines for us." However, he affirmed the party's commitment to view this setback as a learning opportunity and assured a resilient comeback. He extended congratulations to the Congress party on securing the mandate, concluding with best wishes for their upcoming endeavors.

Telangana's Congress in-charge, Manikrao Thakre, echoed confidence in the party's victory, asserting, "Today Congress is going to form the government in Telangana." He attributed the success to the unwavering support of the Telangana workers and leaders, acknowledging their pivotal role in steering the Congress towards this significant win.
