Veteran actress Revathi is reportedly part of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Jananayagan, marking her return to a Vijay-starrer after more than 35 years. The news has sparked excitement among fans, especially as speculation grows about the character she might be playing.
Directed by H. Vinoth, Jananayagan is currently in active production with a star-studded cast that includes Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Prakash Raj. Sources close to the team reveal that Revathi may be playing the role of Vijay’s mother in the film, though no official confirmation has been made yet.
Interestingly, Revathi previously shared screen space with Vijay back in 1990, playing his sister in the film Thamizhan, which also starred Priyanka Chopra in her Tamil debut. If the reports are true, this reunion adds a nostalgic layer to Jananayagan.
The film boasts an accomplished technical crew, including Sathyan Sooryan as cinematographer, Anal Arasu as stunt director, Selvakumar handling art direction, Pradeep Raghav as editor, Pallavi as costume designer, and Gopi Prasanna in charge of publicity design.
An official announcement regarding Revathi’s role is expected soon, but the buzz surrounding her comeback in a Vijay film after three decades is already creating waves in Kollywood.
