Revathy is back as a bollywood Tamil mom

Actress Revathy who was one of the top heroines of 1980s and 90s gave some inspiring performances as a character artiste in the new millennium. However her last film in Tamil stands to be the Simbu Starrer Osthe that released in 2011. Post that the Magalir Mattum actress has acted in only one Tamil film Konjam Cofee Konjam Kadhal which is long awaiting release.



In 2012 she starred in two Malayalam films Father’s day and Molly Aunty rocks.

She is also a successful actress in Bollywood she is well known as a director of meaningful films like Phir Milenge that had Shilpa Shetty playing, Salman Khan and Abhishek Bachchan playing the lead roles. However the last film she acted in Hindi was Nishabdh that released as long as seven years ago.

Now Revathy has faced the camera after a brief gap in the Bollywood film 2 States, the filmy adaptation of an English novel written by Chetan Bhagat with the same title. The film directed by Abhishek Varman stars Arjun Kapoor and Aliya Bhatt in the lead roles. Interestingly Revathy plays the role of a Tamilian as the mother of Alia Bhatt who belongs to a Tamil speaking family.
