Rihanna's performance at the pre-wedding ceremony of Indian billionaire Anant Ambani in Jamnagar, India, elicited mixed reactions. The 36-year-old crooner hit the stage during one of the opulent events and left the guests present—including the likes of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Ivanka Trump—to their own astonishment.

Akash, a 28-year-old, is the son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani. In July, he will marry his long-time girlfriend, Radhika Merchant. The pre-wedding bash has been reportedly hosted at an estimated cost of more than $120 million and saw Rihanna perform for a 90-minute session.

She has, however, come under fire for giving a "lazy" and "boring" performance, which comes in spite of her receiving a paycheck upwards of $6 million for her brief appearance. Clips of the vocal performances of her famous tracks such as "Umbrella," "We Found Love," and "Work" had gone viral as fans complained that she seemed too lethargic and dull during the performance.

Despite this criticism, Rihanna herself was happy to take part in the celebration, as she wished the couple all the best up on stage. "I'm here tonight in honor of Anant and Radhika. Thanks for having me here. May God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations," said the singer.

Worth mentioning, Rihanna left Jamnagar Airport less than 24 hours after her performance, so all the hype around whether she would stay for the whole show seems a bit exaggerated. No matter how short her performance is, it's surely something to talk about; the event has her popular performance and that of stars alike.
