Riya Sen hauls up Ghai

  • IndiaGlitz, [Wednesday,April 29 2009]

Disgruntled actress Riya Sen recently texted producer Subhash Ghai to complain about her role in the movie Paying Guest. She alleged that first-time director Paritosh Painter had chopped her role heavily in favour of actress Neha Dhupia. Sources report that Sen was prompted into action by reports from her friends who had watched the movie and claimed that her role has been cut. Paying Guest is a comedy which also stars Shreyas Talpade, Jaaved Jaaferi, Aashish Chaudhary and Celina Jaitly.

Subhash Ghai immediately pacified Sen by pointing out that an actress of her calibre shouldn’t rely on hearsay. His sms attempts to help her understand that the eight other characters in the movie also had to be accommodated. Ghai further maintains that there’s nothing wrong with Sen expressing her sentiments, and that the whole unit was happy with her when shooting for Paying Guest.
