The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ famed actor seems to be missing from the radar and our birdies found out why.. For, R Madhavan has bagged a Tamil project next, which according to him, will have him playing his career’s most challenging role this far.

Our birdies revealed that Maddy (as he is fondly called) steps into the shoes of a retired boxer for Sudha Kongara’s Kollywood project.

Having recently completed working on Hollywood’s ‘Night of the Living Dead: 3D’, Madhavan is going all out to prepare for his next, scheduled to go on floors this December.

Apart from training in amateur boxing with Hollywood professionals, his preparations also involve transforming in terms of his look.

Besides sporting some serious muscle, the handsome actor is also working on a dishevelled look including long hair and an unkept beard et al.

Said Maddy,I have a renewed sense of respect for boxers and boxing as a sport. My first experience in a boxing ring didn’t even last for a minute. This is probably the most challenging role I’ve done and spent most of my time at the gym preparing for it.
