DC franchise's upcoming film "THE BATMAN" starring Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman and directed by Matt Reeves is undoubtedly the most-anticipated comic book movie of the year 2022. A teaser trailer and main trailer were released earlier which were so impressive not only for the DC fans but also for the movie buffs.

Now, Warner Bros Pictures has launched the arresting "The Bat and The Cat" trailer as a surprise to the legion of fans. Robert Pattinson looks dapper as Bruce Wayne as well as The Dark Knight. The almost 3-minute-long video opens with the same car chase scene between the Batman and the Penguin where the main trailer ended. This footage gives more glimpse to the most-awaited villain character "Riddler" played by Paul Dano.

The third featurette mainly concentrates on the relationship between Batman and Catwoman, as the title "The Bat and The Cat" suggests. Zoe Kravitz has essayed the role Selina Kyle aka the Catwoman to a comic accuracy in this CBM. We also get to witness Jayme Lawson as Bella Real, the mayoral candidate having an conversation with Bruce Wayne. The film also features Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Andy Serkins as Alred Pennyworth, John Turturro and Peter Sarsgaard.

The highlight of the trailer is the portion where the Dark Knight aka Bruce Wayne solves one of the riddler's riddles. Riddles puzzles, "It can be cruel, poetic or blind. But when its denied, its your violence you may find." The Batman replies, "Justice. The answer's justice." The film is expected to deal with the mind games between Batman and Riddler, romantic angle between The Bat and The Cat and also the confrontations between Bruce Wayne and Aldred. Also, the Riddler seems to have found out the Batman's real identity.

Matt Reeves directed "THE BATMAN" from a screenplay by Reeves & Peter Craig, based on characters from the Detective Comics. This version of live-action Batman is heavily inspired by Batman: Year One, the seminal work of writer Frank Miller. The director bills this not as an origin story but it is the Dark Knight in his early days, filled with rage. This movie also has enriching visuals which is almost accurate to the Batman comics and games. The cast and the performances are so perfect. Fans are expressing that this looks like a David Fincher's dark thriller flick. THE BATMAN is set open in theatres worldwide on March 4, 2022.
