The Me Too movement that took center stage a couple of years back has ensured that more and more men who exploit women and mete out violence on them especially sexually are being punished harshly. There have been many celebrities who have been disgraced by their violent sexual behaviour in the grips of the law including Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

The latest to be embroiled in rape controvereis is Ron Jeremy who has acted in over 2000 adult films starting from the late 70s. Four women aged between 25 and 46 have accused that he lured them to his house in West Hollywood and raped them between 2017 to 2019. Another woman who made similar accusations opted for an out of court compromise in 2016.

According to Rolling Stone more than a dozen women had accused Mr Jeremy of sexual misconduct, including groping, inappropriate touching, nonconsensual digital penetration, and sexual assault. Though the 67 year old pornstar has denied all the allegations stating that he would never ever rape anyone he could get up to 90 years jail term if the charges levelled against him are proven.
