With TikTok banned, homegrown Indian rivals have started spreading wings. They have a huge market to cater to. TikTok's 200 million users are expected to shift to at least four new short video platforms in the coming months. Roposo, Bolo Indya, and Mitron are being seen as the best alternatives in this regard.

Roposo, which is currently available on Android and iOS, is believed to be on its way to becoming the biggest platform among its competitors. On June 24, days before the ban on TikTok, educator Sonam Wangchuk tweeted that Roposo is fast emerging as a Made In India alternative to TikTok having already got "50 Million downloads".

Bolo Indya, which is available on Android, has reportedly got more than a lakh downloads already. You can download it from Google Play Store.

Mitron, supported on Android, has been downloaded by over one crore times.

Meanwhile, Indian Express has reported that Zee5 is developing an app that can rival TikTok. It will be released later this month or in August.
