Royal author Clive Irving has said that King Charles is jealous of Prince William and Princess Kate because he feels they have stolen his thunder. Irving, who wrote 'The Last Queen' and now writes as a royal columnist at The Daily Beast, suggests that Prince William, being the future king, has attracted more attention than what his father ever did, something that Charles reluctantly accepts. "There's a great deal of feeling that William understands the mood and the reality on the ground far more than Charles ever will," said Irving.

In response to this, Charles and his son, William, have made an agreement about their respective limelights. Irving says, "They worked out a kind of accommodation of how much limelight each is going to be allowed because Charles is always very jealous of other people stealing his limelight." This means that the pair will have 40 percent or so of it, with Charles himself taking around 60 percent.

A recent poll showed 74 percent of Britons view Prince Charles favourably, the highest percentage for any royal. Queen Elizabeth received a positive rating from 63 percent of respondents posthumously, and Kate Middleton, who had previously trailed her husband, now enjoys 62 percent approval, according to the poll.

Besides, King Charles III and Queen Camilla are preparing for a state visit by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, Kim Keon Hee, at Buckingham Palace in November. Charles recently concluded a state visit to France, where he lauded the unavoidable relationship between France and the United Kingdom in addressing global issues like Russia's conflict in Ukraine and climate change.
