On Tuesday, Russia claimed that it has developed the first anti-coronavirus vaccine. This vaccine supposedly offers "sustainable immunity" against the much-feared Covid-19. President Vladimir Putin himself told the media that his daughter has already been given a dose of the vaccine.

Describing it as the world's first such vaccine, Putin said that his daughter has effectively taken part in the experiment in the development of the vaccine.

Russia seeks to produce millions of doses of the vaccine month after month. Note that experts are saying that it will be more than a year before a substantial chunk of the world population will be vaccinated from the time mass immunization drives start happening.

Meanwhile, India's cumulative tally now stands at 22,68,675. So far, 45,257 have succumbed to the virus.
