At the 96th Academy Awards, Ryan Gosling and singer-songwriter Mark Ronson, making his film debut, will perform I'm Just Ken from Barbie onstage.

In addition to Gosling and Ronson’s performance, Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell will perform What Was I Made For? from the film.

I'm Just Ken, a notable song from the Barbie soundtrack, captures the experience of being a sidekick in Barbie's world. Ronson and Andrew Wyatt wrote and produced the song, which is famous enough to be considered for Best Original Song. Gosling was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Ken.

Gosling had promised to sing the song at the Oscars if needed. The Academy's decision to hold the performance during the show answers all Gosling questions.

Jon Batiste of American Symphony performs It Never Went Away, Becky G of Flamin' Hot performs The Fire Inside, and Scott George and the Osage Singers of Killers of the Flower Moon sing Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People).

I'm Just Ken has over 108 million Spotify streams and briefly peaked at No. 99 on the Billboard Hot 100. This song is popular due to Gosling's rock vocals, not the acting.

This Hollywood Barbie earned $1.4 billion at the box office. The film received Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Costume Design, and Production Design. Although some campaigned as an original script, the film was nominated for adapted screenplay.
