It's well-known that, when it comes to commanding a large market base in the Telugu States, Suriya occupies the top league, perhaps next only to Rajinikanth, although by a distant second. It's no wonder, then, that the theatrical rights of 'S3' have got sold for Rs. 20 Cr. In recently times, it was 'Inkokkadu' (Vikram-starrer) and 'Kaashmora' (Karthi-starrer) which did such an impressive business, but both of them were a distant second and third.

To be released simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil on Feb 9th, this film sees the charming and dashing actor in the role of a cop. Shruti Haasan and Anushka are playing the female leads. So, it's an ensemble cast.

The two releases with which this big-ticket film will clash that week are Nagarjuna's 'Om Namo Venkatesaya' and Anjali-starrer 'Chitrangada', bot of which are coming on Feb 10th. The fact that all of these releases belong to three different genres is only a good news for the makers.
