Director Sundar.C's ambitious historical fantasy 'Sangamithra' was yesterday (IST) launched at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France.

'Baahubali' is inspired by 'Ambuli Mama': Kamal Haasan

Elements from Mahabharatha, Ramayana and Amar Chitra Katha (allegedly) aside, the story writer Vijayendra Prasad seems to have borrowed some points from the Tamil TV series 'Ambuli Mama' in writing 'Baahubali'.  If Kamal Haasan is to be believed, the story is a rehash of 'AM' too, besides Mahabharatha.  (Note: We don't know if Ambuli mama is an equivalent of Katappa mama!).

Ram Charan-Sukumar movie schedule postponed

The Sukumar-Ram Charan movie will start going to sets in Rajahmundry from June 1.  Although it was supposed to take off in May itself, Mythri Movie Makers have pushed the schedule, considering the heat waves in that district. In the June schedule, an introduction song of the hero will be shot on a huge scale right on the banks of River Godavari.  "After that, the film will be shot in a series of s
