'Saaho' sets a record in Japan by trumping Aamir Khan's blockbuster

Prabhas' 'Saaho' is once again in the news months after its worldwide release in 2019. The movie's re-release in Japan in Covid-19 times has led to some proud news for the makers of the action-drama. Theatres have been reopened in Japan recently.
The Sujeeth directorial has become the highest opener for an Indian film in Japan. It has pipped the 2016 blockbuster 'Dangal', starring Aamir Khan.
The Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor film has become one of the top five grossing Indian films in Japan alongside Sridevi's 'English Vinglish', Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots', Rajinikanth's 'Muthu' and Prabhas-Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2'.
The popularity of the 'Radhe Shyam' actor rose up in Japan after the second edition of the 'Baahubali' franchise.
