Saaho Teaser: Larger-than-life, debonair, emotional

When he is around, the bad guys have no option but to seethe with impotent rage.  That's why you see them screaming angrily but you may also sense their sulking helplessness soon after.  He comes, he sees, he conquers.  That is Prabhas in 'Saaho' for you.  He is made to invade fortresses and dens and residences of the villains.  And the action choreographers are all over the teaser, from Kenny Bates, Peng Zhang, Dhilip Subbarayan, Stunt Silva, Stefan, and Bob Brown to the very familiar Ram-Lakshman.

A defining feature of the teaser is that Prabhas plays so Mr. Cool that he can give every cool onscreen hero a run for the money.  And when he describes those baying for blood as his fans, he looks like that Mr. Cool version of Mahendra Baahubali.

Shraddha Kapoor plays a hapless girl who is given a shoulder by the hero to cry on. Their love story is expected to be the emotional anchor of the story.

More than anything, we get a glimpse of the Costume Design work of Thota Vijay Bhaskar, and Leepakshi Ellawadi.  The best of the VFX (read RC Kamalkannan) and Production Design (Sabu Cyril) is yet to be seen.

Cinematographer Madhie's nimble work is praiseworthy, while Ghibran's BGM for the Teaser is minimalist yet efficient.

There are quite many negative characters in this multi-lingual actioner and they get only a short screen presence in the Teaser.  Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Murli Sharma, Arun Vijay, Prakash Belavadi, Evelyn Sharma, Supreeth, Lal, Chunky Pandey, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Tinu Anand are part of the cast.  Vennela Kishore may well be expected to give further comic relief in an otherwise intense, action-driven flick.

Writer-director Sujeeth has a Herculean task ahead and we feel he has nailed it with the Teaser.  The slick actioner will hit the screens on August 15.
