SAC visits Puratchi Kalaigniar Vijayakanth on his special day

Vijayakanth, who is hailed as one of the all time great action heroes of Tamil cinema also made his mark in politics with his party DMDK. However in the past few years he has been undergoing treatment for a long term illness and is mostly confined to his home.
Today, January 31st is the 33rd wedding anniversary of Vijayakanth and his wife Premalatha. Veteran director S.A. Chandrasekhar who gave Vijayakanth his first big break through 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai' in 1981 paid a visit and spent quality time with the couple. Photos of the visit are going viral on the internet with Vijayakanth's sons Shanmugha Pandian and Vijaya Prabhakaran also present.
The Vijayakanth-SAC combo has delivered several hits including 'Saachi', 'Om Shakthi', 'Vettri', 'Kudumbam' and 'Vasantha Raagam'. The Captain also obliged his mentor by playing a powerful supporting role in 'Senthoora Pandi' that helped launch SAC's son Thalapathy Vijay as an action hero. Vijay who is currently touted as the number one superstar in Tamil is in Kashmir shooting for 'Thalapathy 67' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
