Saguni's theatrical rights: Karthi's highest ever

Karthi SivakumarÂs forthcoming, ÂSaguniÂ, is red hot in trade as audiences are waiting with bated breath for a big release, thanks to the FEFSI Â TFPC strike that brought films to a stand still.
The latest is that the theatrical rights of this film have been sold for a record price of whooping Rs 22 crore! This is the highest ever for a Karthi starrer but doesnÂt really come as a shocker considering the current demand for a biggie and that all his previous five films were super hits.
ÂSaguniÂs theatrical rights were reportedly sold by Dream Warriors to Madhan of Vendhran Films.
This commercial drama by newbie Shankar Dayal has Karthi and Pranitha in the lead roles and brings back to big screen the hit duo of Karthi and Santhanam. Music that is by GV Prakash will be unveiled on May 11.
