Popular Hindi actor Saif Ali Khan resides in Bandra, Mumbai. On the early morning of the 16th, an unidentified intruder entered his house and stabbed him with a knife. The household staff quickly rescued Saif Ali Khan and took him to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw.
At the hospital, Saif received treatment, and a broken 2.5-inch piece of the knife lodged in his back was surgically removed. After undergoing medical care for six days, he returned home the day before yesterday.
Before his discharge, Saif personally met and thanked the auto driver, Bhajan Singh Rana, who rushed him to the hospital. A photograph capturing their meeting has now surfaced.
Talking about the incident, Bhajan Singh Rana said, "Saif thanked me for taking him to the hospital quickly. I did not think about money at all. I have no demands from him. I accepted what he gave me, and I’m happy. This is not about money." Reportedly, Saif Ali Khan gave him ₹50,000 as a token of gratitude.
The assailant, identified as Shariful Islam from Bangladesh, has been arrested and is being interrogated by the police for further investigation.
