In Mumbai, Bollywood actor Salman Khan was accused in 1998 of hunting endangered blackbucks while shooting a film in Rajasthan. The Bishnoi community, who consider blackbucks sacred, were deeply offended by this incident. Since then, threats have continuously followed Salman Khan, especially from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s group, which is associated with the Bishnoi community.
In April last year, a shocking incident took place when gunshots were fired outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai, creating a major stir. As the one-year mark of this event approaches, a new threat has emerged. A message was recently received on the WhatsApp helpline of Mumbai’s Worli traffic department. The message threatened to bomb Salman Khan’s car and kill him at his home.
Following this, the Mumbai police have launched an investigation into the matter and are actively looking into the source of the threat and the people behind it, in order to ensure the actor’s safety.
