Actress Saloni of Maryada Ramanna fame is yet another heroine who has wielded the sword. She will be seen in the get-up of Rani Laxmibai, the woman warrior, albeit for a brief spell in the up-and-coming film, Telugammai. You will be mistaken if you think that the film has a historical narrative, ala Kshetram (in which Priyamani will be swinging the sticks in a display of the art of karrasamu). Telugammai, true to its name, is about an ordinary Telugu Jane.

So, why does Saloni do the stunts after all? In a particular scene from the film, she expresses her anger by aggressively riding a horse and wielding a sword. The horse gave Saloni a hard time while shooting for the episode. She almost fell from the horse when the horse nearly revolted while she rided it. Well, it is safe to presume that though Saloni had a tough time pulling off the scene she has excelled in it finally.

In a candid confession, the lissome beauty said that she doesn't believe that itsy-bitsy clothes enhance the sex appeal of an actress.
